24/7 Hotline for Crypto Crime Victims
In response to the rise of crypto-related crimes, Chainalysis, with which LYOTRADE works already, launched its Crypto Incident Response Program, a hotline service that victims of cryptocurrency crimes can access 24/7 for immediate support.
The rapid response service is backed by a team of investigative experts that have the ability to trace and recover stolen funds by collaborating with law enforcement.
British Pound-Pegged Stablecoin
The company behind USDT, Tether, will launch a stablecoin pegged to the British Pound (GBPT). The company’s fifth fiat-pegged stablecoin will be first available on Ethereum in July. Other blockchain networks will be added in the future.
Tether Chief Technology Officer Paolo Ardoino said in a statement:
“We believe that the United Kingdom is the next frontier for blockchain innovation and the wider implementation of cryptocurrency for financial markets. We hope to help lead this innovation by providing cryptocurrency users worldwide with access to a GBP-denominated stablecoin issued by the largest stablecoin issuer.”
Hublot Accepts BTC Payments
Hublot, a Swiss luxury wristwatch maker, has partnered with BitPay to accept bitcoin as payments through its U.S. website. To kick off its adoption, Hublot released a limited edition wristwatch called Big Bang Unico. Only 200 pieces are available worldwide in this collection.
The luxury watchmaker has joined the wave of other luxury brands that are now accepting bitcoin such as Gucci, Balenciaga, and Tage Heuer.
